My 21st Birthday! Yea, I'm Legal!

That morning I woke up around 5, because that's what time Chris got up. I told my boss the day before that I'd be coming into work late cause I wanted to sleep in, but that didn't happen. I went back to sleep after Chris got up, and he'd come in and check on me every so often, and give me kisses and tell me Happy Birthday, but as the morning continued onto 6 and 7am I could smell the most delicious smells! I thought I smelled cake, and eggs, and all sorts of delicious things! So at 7am Chris came back into the bedroom and told me to get up and see what he had made for my Birthday dinner! He made me wait around the hall until he had everything just right, and then told me to come in. I was so happy!! He had baked me a cake, frosted it, and put some lit candles on it for me to make a wish! I was in Chris's over-sized clothes when I woke up, and he immediately sat me down and made me take a picture and make a wish and blow out my candles. I had just woken up moments before, so the pictures aren't the cutest... Anyway, he had also made me breakfast! He made me French Toast, yumm! I love French Toast! And I taught him how to make it the way mom makes it, with cinnamon in the batter, and he made them just perfect! He also made mom's homemade syrup! I am so grateful for Chris! He is so wonderful and amazing to me! I'm so lucky to have a sweet, handsome, and caring guy like him, who would get up at 5 just to make my birthday special! Thank you Chris! I love you so much!!

Bowen made me a floral arrangement from his floral design class, pretty good huh?

We went to Red Lobster for my birthday dinner the weekend before, and they basically gave me free Snow Crab, it was so good!

This is at 7 am on the morning I thought I was going to be able to sleep in, but it was worth getting up! Chris is so wonderful!

I'm so tired! I can barely open my eyes :)

We went to Denver that weekend after my birthday, those pictures are coming up next!

A Colleen Moment

Ok, so I'm sorry that I haven't posted anything in a long time, but I have a lot coming! I have some birthday pics and stories, as well as a trip to Denver Chris and I took a couple weekends ago, so lots of stuff is coming! I just have to get through my 2 biggest midterms. Anyway, I have a story to get you through the next week until I post something else.

Chris and I now work at the same place, and we try to carpool as much as possible. One day we carpooled, and in the middle of the day I had to leave for classes, and then I would come back to pick up Chris. Chris and I met in the break room to share a sandwich for lunch, and when we were done I told him I was leaving, and he said that he was going to the bathroom before he had to clock back in. He began to walk to the other side of the breakroom, so I assumed he was going to the individual bathroom on that side of the building to do his duty. So I went back to my desk and clocked out, and got ready to leave for school, and was almost out the door when I realized that Chris still had the car key. So I went back to his desk, and he wasn't there, so I thought that he must still be in the bathroom. So I walked over to the bathrooms (it is just an individual bathroom, 1 toilet) and I waited for everyone to clear out of the hall, and then I loudly said, "Chris" to see if he would answer inside the bathroom. No answer came, so I proceeded to repeat myself a few more times, a little louder and louder each time, still no answer! So then my boss came walking down the hall, he was leaving work, and he said, "I thought you already left" and I told him that Chris was in the bathroom and that I needed the key! So he told me to knock, and then left. So I thought, it has to be Chris in here, so I knocked and said "CHRIS!!" and then I jiggled the handle. Right then I got a reply text from Chris ( I had previously asked him to open the door and give me the key in a text) that said, "Colleen, I'm at my desk, come get the key!" Oh, crap! I ran away from that men's bathroom as fast as I could, and then took a different way out of the building. I hope no one finds out my husband's name is Chris or I'll be the crazy lady who almost knocked down the door trying to get a key from a man I don't even know. Anyway, that's my embarrassing story of the week, be back soon! :)

Living it up at the Gparent's Cabin!

Chris and I love to go up the gparents cabin! They have 4-wheelers, snowmobiles, tubes, and sleds! It is up in the mountains and so there are tons of fun sledding hills and trails for the snowmobiles! Chris and I found some trails that go on for miles! They climb huge hills where it feels like you're going vertical and some fun jumps! I love going up to the cabin!

Chris, cousin Brad, Aunt Katy, and Bowen

Uncle Ron (No intro needed :) )

Chris is trying to look tough on the 4-wheeler

That is my bum, Chris was pulling me on the snowmobile. It was so much fun! He went super fast, and I almost fell tons of time, but I stayed on!

Chris is pulling Bowen

My face looks so much better when it's not pushed down by goggles

Uncle Ron loves to be pulled by the snowmobile! He is so crazy! In fact we went down this huge hill that has a total drop off on one side with a few trees; Uncle Ron wanted to go on the big tube with someone, and I didn't want to do it cause I wasn't strong enough to control both of us. So Brad went with Ron, and as we watched them come down this huge hill, they started to curve towards the edge of the cliff, and sure enough, woop, they went right off!! They disappeared into thin air! So we all started running as fast as we could up the hill to see if they were ok. Of course I had to stop about half way up, because I was out of shape! Plus it's at a high altitude! Anyway, Brad and Ron fell right into a little nest of trees! It stopped them about a 1/4 way down the cliff. Poor Brad didn't want Ron to get hurt, so he swung himself around and hit the tree with his ribs to stop the impact (rather than Ron's body) we think he cracked a few ribs, cause he couldn't move much after that. Uncle Ron had a few cuts, but he was ok, Brad took the brunt of the fall. So Uncle Ron is still making crazy stories! He sure is fun!

This is Chris on the big tube coming down that big hill. Brad & Ron fell off the edge about half way down.

Chris pulling Bowen on the tube! It was so much fun!

Sorry!

Hey Everyone, sorry that I haven't posted anything in forever! I've been so caught up looking at Ella and Kelly's blog that I figured she'd just take over for a while, which I've loved! I'll post some new pictures soon, I promise!

Stitches & Snowboarding

WARNING! PICTURES MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR YOUNGER VIEWERS OR THOSE WITH WEAK STOMACHS.... PROCEED WITH CAUTION
Snowboarding & Stitches, this was a fun experience we had during the Christmas break. Chris, Bryce, Ricky, Morgan, and I all went snowboarding on the Saturday after Christmas. Bryce was doing so good, and even I wasn't doing too shabby! Chris and I had made quite a lot of runs, and by the 2nd or 3rd I could make it the whole way down without falling, (sometimes I would just sit down to wait for Chris or something, cause I was tired), but no falling unless it was on purpose :) So Chris and I got Ricky & Morgan's keys so that we could go eat some lunch before finishing the rest of the day. So after eating, we returned to the slopes and our first run down, disaster struck! It was so horrible, because it was my best run of the whole day, I was going fast, no falling, and it was great! So I made it down to the bottom, and I'm waiting for Chris. I see him coming down the home stretch and I turn away for a second, and when I look back, I see Chris and this other guy had collided and tumbled down the mountain a bit. But they both got up as if nothing happened, and kept boarding down the mountain. Well, I found out later that as Chris was snowboarding down, he heard this guy come up behind him cussing up a storm, because this guy was out of control! So he hit Chris, and Chris said that it was ok, no big deal, and the guy asked Chris, "Are you sure nothing happened?" Chris then happily replied that nothing happened, it was just a little collision. So Chris comes down the rest of the mountain, and sits down by me, and we realize that the 3 inches of pants he was wearing were torn through. So we take our boards off and go to the side to investigate the situation a little further. We also saw a little bit of blood on his pants, but we just thought that maybe he got a little scratch or something. So Chris takes his pants off, (don't get too excited, he had shorts on underneath :) ) and when he pulled them down, I ound myself staring at a 4in laceration across his knee, that was as deep as the bone! It through me into shock because I was just expecting a little scratch! Plus, I guess I inherited this weak stomach from my dad because I could barely look at it! So I'm bawling my eyes out, trying to call my dad, ricky, morgan, anyone, and Chris says to me, "Uh, I think I'm gonna go find the medical place." So he walks off without me! And I'm still sitting there hysterical, people are looking at me wondering who just died probably. So I finally get a hold of everyone and go to find Chris. He had to be tobboganed up to the top of the mountain where the medical clinic was. The crazy thing is, is that Chris didn't feel a thing! Until they started putting in his stitches...

This is when everything was happy, the cut had already happened, but Chris didn't know. And yes I know that I look really fat! The goggles were pushing my already fat cheeks down! :(

That's better

This is Chris, ready to ride up to the clinic

He's so happy, doesn't even feel a thing

I was riding on the back of the snowmobile that was dragging Chris. This guy who was helping us skiied behind Chris.

Here's Chris, before he got stitches

Looks pretty good huh? Well, then we went home and Chris kept bending his knee, which resulted in the other pictures below...

The doctor, who signed a souvenir shirt for Chris as, "To my favorite laceration this year!" The Doc said that it was the worst laceration he had seen this year, cool huh?

Ok, so this is after we've been home for about a day, it started smiling at us, and bleeding, it was so gross!

Well, I hope you enjoyed, I know most of you had seen and heard the story already, but just a reminder :) More posts to come!
